The entire Opquast team joins me in wishing you a great 2022. For many of you, things may not have been easy, at least on a personal level.
Opquast is dedicated to professional activities in the web sector. These are only professional activities (which is by no means nothing), but the least we can do is to ensure that this sector of activity that occupies us also remains a source of pleasure, knowledge, sharing, skills, meaning, stability and of course continuous improvement of the projects we all work on.
These are good intentions, but we must continue to put them to music.
Since the creation of the company, we have created, written, tried many things. We have sometimes failed, but always with conviction and most often because what we were proposing did not come at the right time. But several signs lead me to believe that the time for web quality assurance has come. The release of the third edition of the Web Quality Assurance book is an essential milestone for us. The success of this launch in December, with almost a thousand copies already sold, is obviously a good way to launch into 2022.
In passing, we have sent this book to all our partners and also to many service providers or competitors with whom we have worked or exchanged over the years. The job of quality specialists is not to impose rules or practices, but to ensure that all the professional players in a sector have the means to think about them and to appropriate them as required. It is also a practice that brings reflection as to what binds the professions together before looking at what separates them.
As the head of Opquast, I am the guarantor of this approach, which underlies everything we do and contributes to the loyalty of our teams, our customers and our friends. Like you, I have my ups and downs. When things aren’t going well, I’ve made a habit of telling you and not pretending. Feel free to do the same with me, or with any Opquast staff members, and feel free to join us and get some positive energy from the project and the Opquast community. We can be discouraged, tired, annoyed, but most of the time you will find goals, ideas and meaning from us.
And then, there is our reason for being, the mission that Opquast has given itself: to make the web better. This is urgent. The Opquast checklist has existed since 2004. It is a tool and a repository among others, many now share my belief that it must become more widely known by web professionals. Incidentally, this goes hand in hand with the successful development and the means available to Opquast as a business entity.
So this year, we will continue to put all this to music.
- We are going to open a tool that will allow us to better reward (symbolically) our ambassadors.
- We will make it easier to discover our content and training
- We will try to get our certification available for the French National Personal Training Account
- We will start to deploy our training to our international clients.
- We will publish case studies on the benefits of this training for companies.
To all those who work on improving the web, and to all users who will benefit from it, happy 2022.
