Description
No rich media object larger than 50 K (images or other) is sent to an agent without prior warning, previsualization or progressive display.
Objectives
Avoids imposing an extended download without forewarning.
Possible technical solutions:
For multimedia objects larger than the limit, it is possible for example to:
- provide miniatures or previsualizations in smaller files
- State download file size near of in the wording of the link
- provide a download progression bar and the possibility of aborting the download.
Control methods:
Check that rich media objects in the site are not transferred without warning, previsualisation, or progressive display.
